Services
- Maintaining and operating ionizing radiation-producing devices for cancer researchers
- Training new users in the proper and safe operation of the equipment
- Consultation with users concerning instrumentation, services, training requirements, and experimental design
- Technical assistance upon request for dose and dose-rate calculations, hands-on assistance with experiments, design of specialized shields, and other problem solving

Radiation Resources Core equipment is available to all Cancer Center members. The most commonly used sources are the Co-60 and Cs-137 gamma-irradiators. The Cs-137 irradiator provides a large chamber for irradiation of animals or multiple tissue culture dishes. The Co-60 irradiator is convenient for preparation of metabolically viable but reproductively dead cells for feeder layers and for generation of radicals in small samples. The staff of the Core Facility will assist users in choosing the most appropriate equipment for their purposes.

Fees
| Gamma Irradiators (Cs-137 in BRB or Wolstein, Co-60 in BRB): | $35 per use for Cancer Center members $50 per use for non-members |
| Maximum monthly charge: | $350 for members $500 for non-members |
* Single use = all irradiations by a single user with one source during a single calendar day.
