CTSC KL2 Scholars

The Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative (CTSC) KL2 is designed to address the need to enhance the training of individuals interested in clinical research. The CTSC KL2 Scholars come from diverse professional disciplines, and will be trained to conduct team-based, multidisciplinary, patient-oriented clinical research. Once the training is complete, Scholars will have the knowledge and skills to conduct cutting-edge translational clinical research and lead teams of investigators who recognize the mutuality of different research paradigms - ranging from molecular medicine to public health sciences.

AACR Women in Cancer Research Scholar Awards

AACR-Women in Cancer Research Scholar Awards are awarded to members of Women in Cancer Research who are scientists-in-training and presenters of meritorious scientific papers at AACR Annual Meetings.

Eligible candidates for these awards must fit the following criteria:

• Candidates must be members of Women in Cancer Research (WICR).
• Candidates must be full-time scientists-in-training who are graduate students, medical students, residents, clinical fellows or equivalent, or postdoctoral fellows.
• Candidates may be traveling from within the United States or abroad. There are no citizenship or residency requirements.
• Candidates must be first authors on abstracts submitted for consideration for presentation at the AACR Annual Meeting.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation is accepting applications for the following opportunities:

• Innovation Grants are designed as seed funding for mid-career researchers with a novel approach to pediatric cancer scientific investigation. This may often represent a change in research direction and/or an innovative new idea that moves away from an investigator's prior research. ALSF will grant Innovation Awards supporting research proposals to be carried out by investigators who are already established, have a track record of peer-reviewed publications and evidence of successfully competing for substantial extramural funding in other areas.
  Deadline: December 3
• Young Investigator Awards are designed as start-up funds for new scientists at the end of their fellowship training or early in their research career. Demonstration of outstanding mentorship and demonstration of a career plan that shows commitment to pediatric cancer investigation are critical components of a successful application.
