Registration is open for the Case CCC Scientific Retreat, July 9-10 at Sawmill Creek Resort and Conference Center in Huron, OH. This retreat is an opportunity for the Center to identify the areas on which we should focus over the next two years in preparation for our renewal. Also, there will be many opportunities for interaction with your colleagues and fellow program members, including a working lunch and plenary program meetings planning sessions. Everyone is also invited to participate in special interest group discussions at dinner on Friday and breakfast on Saturday. If you have not already done so, please RSVP for the retreat as soon as possible. Overnight rooms are filling up fast. As a reminder, overnight accommodations will be covered by the Cancer Center, but advance registration is required. We encourage you to stay and enjoy area attractions, such as Cedar Point, Sheldon Marsh Nature Preserve, wineries, the Lake Erie Islands, and Maritime Museums. NEW FUNDING OPPORTUNITIESMesothelioma Applied Research FoundationThe Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation announces the availability of its 2010 round of mesothelioma research grant funding. Continuing its efforts to stimulate translational research for the treatment of malignant mesothelioma, the Meso Foundation is again soliciting applications for funding of innovative projects that address issues for the treatment of the disease. Eligible projects may relate to benchwork, translational or clinical research, must not be presently funded or pending review, and may be conducted through any not-for-profit academic, medical or research institution, in the U.S. or abroad.
