Lung Cancer, Breast Cancer
As a medical oncologist dedicated to the treatment of both lung and breast cancers, I am interested in studying the impact of lifestyle modifications in improving cancer-related outcomes. During my Cancer Biology Masters research I studied the PI3K/AKT pathway, one that is largely implicated in cell metabolism. I then became particularly interested in exploring the links between obesity and diet and cancer development and progression. I am currently studying the correlations between patients' lipid profiles and the characteristics of certain solid tumors that impact on patients' prognosis.
